About
From $0 to $20 million. That’s what I call success.
I love getting my hands dirty as a player/coach. Let me tell you a little about my work in marketing…
In 2011 I moved from Pensacola, Fla. to Birmingham, Ala. to work for a small startup called ProctorU. There were about two dozen employees, little to no revenue, and no marketing department. By 2018, we were a $20 million business. During that time, I went from a hands-on position in public relations, to leading a team of about half a dozen creatives. We managed our sales presence at over 100 trade shows per year, engaged on social media, served as a public relations resource, developed proposals, and managed an extensive library of sales collateral. I served in a leadership capacity coaching and building the marketing department from 2014 until 2017. We rebranded the organization with an updated logo and website in 2016. In 2017, I was asked to take on a new challenge: implement Pardot and migrate five years worth of data from an old CRM to Salesforce. I was given the opportunity to build a new team as the director of sales operations and lead that team until 2019.
In early 2019, I took my talents to Cayenne Creative to work as a digital project manager and marketing implementation lead and subsequently won three Birmingham ADDY awards from the American Advertising Federation. I was also a regular contributor in overall marketing and advertising strategy for a plethora of clients across multiple industries. In this role I’ve expanded my tool kit of marketing automation platforms. I hold certifications in HubSpot CRM and marketing automation and have reviewed or worked directly in most major email, marketing, or CRM automation tools.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, playing music, and spending time with my friends and family. I’m a former journalist, self taught musician, and hockey enthusiast.
